JOIN ME ON A JOURNEY TO CREATING A SELF-SUSTAINABLE PARADISE!
To live naturally is to live life in alliance with nature. Working together in harmony, rather than against one another. The planet takes care of us and in return we should take care of the planet. This creates an indescribable energy within us that is positive and infectious. When we nourish the planet we nourish our souls.
Living Naturally also means to live chemical free relying only on natural ingredients from your table to your body to your home. To live naturally means to live as nature intended not as modern society intends.

Well hello! It’s nice to meet you. My name is Chelsea and I am so pleased that you have found my lifestyle blog She lives Naturally. I hope you will follow along and find inspiration and comfort in our journey!
My Idea of a perfect life would be to wake up, put on a pot of rich organic coffee and while the aroma of the brewing elixir is filling my home the family and I would make toast from the fresh bread we made the day before and use our homemade jams for spreads. We would sit around at our rustic dining table and talk and laugh while enjoying wholesome natural foods.
I would look around at my little farm, my self-sustainable home and gardens and feel like I am living a good life and I have all I need. My mind would be clear and my heart would be full. My time would not be spent obsessing over getting a more expensive car or a bigger home but rather about taking care of my family, land, animals and self and focusing my time on what makes me happy while trying to inspire others to do the same.
I want my home to be filled with products and foods that are made by our bare hands or come from reputable clean companies that have proven to have our health and our planet as the number one goal in mind.
In our home I want products that we know are good for us because we created them ourselves from natural, nutrient rich ingredients. What about you? What do you want?
Content will cover an array of topics including DIYs for beauty and body, DIYs and tutorials for the home , baking and healthy recipes and making more natural choices in our everyday lives. But most importantly I will be sharing my journey towards living the most self-sustainable life possible.
Every project and DIY creation that takes place I will not only share with you but SHOW YOU how to do it!
I HAVE RECENTLY BECOME PLANT BASED (VEGAN)
My choices may seem “out of the ordinary” for some. Through my research and writing I have found that I strongly oppose the industrialized side of things. Therefore, I am doing my best to decrease my support towards anything that is a product of industrial production. I try to support small companies and my local economy whenever possible. I do NOT eat meat or dairy and no longer purchase honey.
Life is not always black and white though. With that being said, I feel when the time comes and we have our chicken coops up and running I may begin to eat eggs again seeing as I know there will be zero inhumane practices taking place. I guess we will see! Along with this, we intend to raise bees, not strictly for honey, but to help the bee population and our homes ecosystem. More to come on this as well!

I hope through this blog I can inspire you to try new things and make decisions that will not only benefit you but also benefit the world we live in. I hope to make you smile and to make you think about the life you are living today. I truly believe we can all be a lot happier if we just live naturally.
It’s been pretty hot here! We just wrapped up our second DIY cobblestone patio in front of our house.
Currently we are working with a solar company (cannot wait to write an article on all the things a typical homeowner will need to know) and installing an external mini-split system for our home. These systems are highly efficient and duct into each room. You simply set the thermostat and the system can do AC or heat. This eliminates the need for window AC units and high non renewable gas bills. We are keeping our gas stove as a backup in case power ever goes out.
As far as our yard, well, we have pretty much divided our lot into 4 sections. The gravel section, the finished lawn section, the unfinished lawn section and…..THE BACK (see social media for visuals). Within the unfinished section we will be plotting the following things. Large garden area, large shed made from our milled wood, 2-3 stall compost system, handmade firepit, handmade brick oven, floral sitting area and possibly a pool (if we can make sure our prospective solar system will cover it)
As for THE BACK, well that area is destined for a small farm, wood shop and who knows what 🤣
Meet Kai, the human Portuguese Water dog. He will be making a guest appearance in almost everything!
What is life without good food? We need to eat to survive, so we may as well enjoy every aspect of it rather than viewing it as the enemy. One thing you will NOT find on my blog is overly complicated recipes that make your head spin. I like to keep life simple and stress free!
When you learn to enjoy the process of making your food it then becomes more than just something we shovel into our mouths. We learn to appreciate it and take our time enjoying it. Especially when you grow it yourself, that is just next level! I believe appreciation and moderation is key when it comes to having a healthy relationship with food.
WHY ARE ORGANIC INGREDIENTS BETTER?
You’re attempting to eat healthily, and you understand that this entails consuming a diet rich in fruits, vegetables, whole grains, as well as protein. But as you explore the products in the supermarket, you discover there’s another decision to make: should you go with purely organic products? Despite the fact that pure organic ingredients are often more expensive —sales are constantly increasing.
Your emotional and mental wellbeing, as well as the environment, are all affected by how your food is produced. So, why are organic ingredients better for you? Take a peek at some of the benefits of organic foods: –
• Pesticides are less prevalent in organic products.
• Organic food is safer, probably more nutritious, and typically tastes better than non-organic food.
• Since organic food does not contain preservatives, it is always fresher.
• Organic farming is generally more environmentally friendly.
• Antibiotics, growth hormones, and animal by-products are not used on organically bred animals.
• Certain nutrients may be more abundant in organic meat and milk.
• GMOs (Genetically Modified Organisms) are not present in organic food.
• Organic foods typically include more beneficial components, such as antioxidants, than traditionally farmed and processed foods.
