LIVING A NATURAL LIFE

To live naturally is to live life in alliance with nature. Working together in harmony, rather than against one another. The planet takes care of us and in return, we should take care of the planet. This creates indescribable energy within us that is positive and infectious. When we nourish the planet we nourish our souls.

Living Naturally also means living as chemical-free as possible. Relying only on natural ingredients from your table to your body to your home. To live naturally means to live as nature intended not as modern society intends.

INTRODUCTION

Hello! I am Chelsea and I am so pleased that you have found my blog She lives Naturally. I hope you will follow along and find inspiration and comfort in our journey!

I have been through a lot of ups and downs in my life that has opened my eyes to what really matters. We all have a different story and different ideas of a perfect life which is what makes living so wonderful! We are all so unique!

My life goals in the next 5 years…

I intend to have a fully successful and well-run small business that handcrafts and sells plant-based soaps, skincare, and hair care that will make a genuine difference in people’s lives. I want to educate consumers and make them feel empowered to question what they are putting on and in their bodies. I truly believe knowledge is power.

I want my home to be filled with products and foods that are made by our bare hands or come from reputable clean companies that have proven to have our health and our planet as the number one goal in mind. We will have a fully stacked home apothecary with an assortment of herbs, tonics, tinctures, salves, and more and we would always look to natural remedies before tapping into the mainstream healthcare system for medication.

In our home, I want products that we know are good for us because we created them ourselves from natural, nutrient-rich ingredients that were either grown right on our property or purchased locally. People will be inspired by our home and our way of life and ask questions that will lead to wonderful, educational conversations which in turn motivate them to want to live more naturally themselves!

What about you? What do you want?

Content will cover an array of topics including DIYS for personal care, home, healthy recipes, and making more natural choices in our everyday lives. But most importantly I will be sharing my journey towards living the most self-sustainable life possible while creating our own homestead and company Live Naturally Co.

I AM PLANT-BASED (VEGAN)
My choices may seem “out of the ordinary” for some. Through my research and writing, I have found that I strongly oppose the industrialized side of things. Therefore, I am doing my best to decrease my support for anything that is a product of industrial production. I try to support small companies and my local economy whenever possible. I do not eat meat or dairy and no longer purchase honey.

Life is not always black and white though. With that being said, I feel when the time comes and we have our chicken coops up and running I may begin to eat eggs again seeing as I know there will be zero inhumane practices taking place. I guess we will see! Along with this, we intend to raise bees, not strictly for honey, but to help the bee population and our homes ecosystem. More to come on this as well!

THE FOOD

What is life without good food? We need to eat to survive, so we may as well enjoy every aspect of it rather than viewing it as the enemy.

When we learn to enjoy the process of making our food it then becomes more than just something we shovel into our mouths. We learn to appreciate it and take our time enjoying it. Especially when we grow it ourselves; that is just next level! I believe appreciation and moderation are key when it comes to having a healthy relationship with food.

WHY ARE ORGANIC INGREDIENTS BETTER?

You’re attempting to eat healthily, and you understand that this entails consuming a diet rich in fruits, vegetables, whole grains, as well as protein. But as you explore the products in the supermarket, you discover there’s another decision to make: should you go with purely organic products? Despite the fact that pure organic ingredients are often more expensive —sales are constantly increasing.

Your emotional and mental well-being, as well as the environment, are all affected by how your food is produced. So, why are organic ingredients better for you? Take a peek at some of the benefits of organic foods: –
• Pesticides are less prevalent in organic products.
• Organic food is safer, probably more nutritious, and typically tastes better than non-organic food.
• Since organic food does not contain preservatives, it is always fresher.
• Organic farming is generally more environmentally friendly.
• Antibiotics, growth hormones, and animal by-products are not used on organically bred animals.
• Certain nutrients may be more abundant in organic meat and milk.
• GMOs (Genetically Modified Organisms) are not present in organic food.
• Organic foods typically include more beneficial components, such as antioxidants, than traditionally farmed and processed foods.
